About the Journal

The Kurdistan Journal of Applied Research (KJAR), was established in 2015 by Sulaimani Polytechnic University, which is a public and non-profit university. The journal is an esteemed multidisciplinary publication fostering the dissemination of significant, high-quality research articles in open-access format. Publishing biannually in June and December, KJAR adheres to a rigorous blind peer-review process, ensuring the scholarly integrity and merit of its contents. This journal spans the breadth of applied and pure sciences, offering articles in English for a global readership. KJAR is recognized under ISSN (Print) 2411-7684 and ISSN (Online) 2411-7706

KJAR is proudly accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research of the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) in Iraq and the National Universities Ranking (NUR).

Each manuscript submitted to KJAR undergoes a meticulous evaluation, starting with an initial screening by the editorial board, followed by a detailed review by appointed experts in the relevant field. This ensures that all published articles meet the highest standards of research integrity and contribution to the scientific community.

Affiliated with CrossRef, KJAR assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to each article, enhancing discoverability and ensuring a persistent link to the scholarly record. The journal's commitment to accessibility and academic integrity is further evidenced by its adherence to the Digital Commons license, specifically the Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

KJAR aim and scope

Kurdistan Journal of Applied Research (KJAR) is devoted to original research in the field of pure science.  The aim of KJAR is to provide a platform for researchers, particularly those from underrepresented regions, to share their work with the global community, fostering innovation and knowledge exchange.
