Statement on Responsible Research Assessment (DORA)

The Kurdistan Journal of Applied Research (KJAR) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal committed to advancing high-quality research in applied sciences, engineering, medical sciences, and interdisciplinary fields. The journal aims to promote research that contributes to scientific progress, regional development, and global knowledge exchange. KJAR recognizes the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), a global initiative dedicated to improving how research outputs are evaluated. DORA encourages institutions, publishers, and funding bodies to move beyond journal-based metrics, such as the Journal Impact Factor, and instead assess research on its intrinsic merit and broader impact.
